GeoCloud Drive
✍️ What is the GeoCloud Drive?
GeoCloud Drive is a service from the cloud collaboration portal HxGN GeoCloud.
The GeoCloud Drive is a cloud storage, which is used to store and share data between field and office users.
Data is stored on the cloud storage of GeoCloud Drive.
Data is organised in projects.
Access to projects is done on the user level.
Data can be managed with a web browser, Leica Captivate and Windows File Explorer.
Data on the cloud storage is synchronised with the local storage of a Windows OS.
Example
A user in the office stores design data inside a folder, which belongs to a project folder of the GeoCloud Drive. The changes within this folder will be synchronised to the cloud storage automatically. The field user downloads the design data within Leica Captivate. After the fieldwork has been finished, the field user uploads the results of the day. Another office user opens the folder of that project, which already contains the synchronised data from the field. The user can further process this data with any office software.
